Seawind Foods is on the move — both lit- erally and figuratively — as the calendar changes from 2014 to 2015.
In late December, the California-based company moved into its new headquarters — a
suite in a historic building in downtown San
Clemente, Calif., that is double the size of its
previous accommodations in the city.
"We just needed more space," said Seawind
Foods President and CEO Garry Green, who
joined the company in December 2013 as part
of a new leadership team that also includes
Vice President of Sales Julie Swink. "We definitely have growth plans — 2014 was a great
year, and we believe 2015 will be even better.
Seawind has long been
a trusted producer and
supplier of all-natural
dehydrated fruits, vegetables and spices. But the
company has, over the
course of the past year-plus, made it a priority
to enhance its marketing
efforts, add to its product
line and expand its customer base and distribution channels.
"Seawind has been in
business for 28 years.
It has a great reputation
with its customers," Green said. "But the
company never exhibited at trades shows, and
the branding no longer represented the future
direction of the company.
"So what we've done, we've aligned the
Seawind branding with the strategy and personality of the company. We actually changed
the name from Seawind International to
Seawind Foods (in early 2014). We were at
five different trade shows (in 2014), just really
getting Seawind on the map and letting people know we are here, we have differentiated
quality products and are committed to delivering an unparalleled customer experience."
