What’s In A Name?
On March 1, Baldor Electric Company changed its name to ABB. It is a big change for us because a name is valuable. You make a name for yourself and protect your good name.
It represents your identity and reputation.
A name also evokes pride and a sense of belonging. If you’ve
ever changed your name, say through adoption or marriage, it
means you are becoming part of something bigger, a new family.
Your old family does not go away but adds another branch to your
expanding family tree.
Seven years ago, Baldor was welcomed into the ABB
family and became a member of the ABB group. Our history
of innovation and customer-focused culture has been a
strong fit with ABB, whose strength, expertise and innovation
competes on a global stage. We are part of ABB’s more than
$11 billion investment in the United States where we continue
to manufacture Baldor-Reliance motors and Dodge mechanical
power transmission products.
In changing the company name, we are taking the next step in
signifying to our customers, our employees and our communities
that Baldor is part of a global organization, with a broad portfolio
and a digital focus that will help us, together, to unlock new value
for our customers. At the same time, we will continue to provide
the same local sales, customer support and inventory that our
customers rely on each day.
ABB is a pioneering technology leader. The red letters of
ABB represent the energy that sparks invention. It is building
on its strong heritage by actively writing the new age of
digitalization. This is our new company name; the strength of an
iconic brand: ABB.

The Material Master Bulk Bag
Discharging System with scale
system and flexible screw
conveyor provides for an efficient,
controlled discharge of materials
through a loss-in-weight operation
into customer’s existing process.
This unit features a scale system
and a summing box which
communicates with the flexible
screw conveyor to provide for an
accurate discharge of material into
the process. Systems are custom-designed for each specific application. This unit utilizes a hoist
and trolley system which safely and efficiently loads customer’s
bulk bags into the Material Master system. Units are completely
modular and designed to accept Material Transfer’s exclusive
features for future improvements and flexibility.

Ultra and Super Dry Lubricants
Klüber Lubrication NA LP
offers three advanced
lubricants that make
conveyor belts in food
and beverage processing
applications run smoother,
longer and cleaner:
Dry is formulated to
improve the process reliability of plastic belts used to transport
carton packages. Advanced lubricant ingredients help reduce
lubricant consumption, while simplifying cleaning and improving
hygiene. Made without perfluorinated substances (PTFE), this
formulation keeps floors dry and prevents aerosol formation
during lubricant application. It also reduces water waste and
contamination to reduce operating costs for water, cleaning
agents and spare parts.
conveyor belts used to transport PET bottles and metal cans.
The lubricant helps keep residue from forming on belts and in
application systems, which improves hygiene and simplifies
cleaning. The silicone and PTFE formulation also improves the
reliability of the operating line by reducing the risk of nozzle
blockage. It is also NSF-H1 registered for increased process
belts used to transport PET and metal packages in combination
with LOEHRKE spraying equipment. The special nozzle in the
Ultra Dry allows the lubricant to be regulated individually on
each track. As a result, lubricant consumption is reduced, and
management of the coefficient of friction can be optimized. And it
helps prevent residue from forming on belts to simplify cleaning.
