The NextGuard system is now
designed to inspect packaged
products for flaws such as
missing pieces or components
using new, easily customizable
vision software. The NextGuard
product verification software allows customers to use a pulldown
menu to quickly select and sequence a range of image processing and analysis algorithms. This enables a wide range of size,
shape, angle, count and position-based inspections in minutes.
Also new to the NextGuard platform are several additional algorithms, which target the detection of less dense contaminants
such as glass or rocks in complex, textured products such as nuts
or tea bag boxes. Optional mass estimation software is designed
to utilize the density information in the X-ray image to estimate
weight and detect under/over-filled products. The system is now
configurable for dual rejection, separating contaminated products
from other quality errors. In addition to software improvements,
the enhanced NextGuard also features hardware upgrades. The
standard system processor is now six times faster than the first
generation NextGuard, supporting high-speed contaminant detection and inspection as well as improved user responsiveness.
An optional 0.4mm-pixel detector is also available that offers
3. 2 times better resolution for improved metal detection in lightweight, homogeneous products such as powders or cheese.

This patented-designed system improves metal detection capabilities while eliminating degradation in
product transfer to deliver safe product throughput and
minimize rejects. The hyper-detect 5 is the world’s first
non-symmetrical balanced coil metal detector and provides optimum sensitivity and consistent performance.
The integrated design does not increase the system’s
height, requiring minimal installation space, plus it can
be fully integrated with baggers and weighers to run
at faster speeds while maintaining high sensitivity levels. Able to detect ferrous contaminants from 0.8mm
to 0.9mm, non-ferrous pieces up to 1.0mm and
non-magnetic stainless steel from 1.0 to 1.2mm.

G180 Area Sensor Series offers extreme sensitivity for the most challenging of applications, identifying previously
undetectable contaminants such as 0.1mm sieve wire in food products or pin
bones in fish filets. All xray systems are fully automated and feature full statistical packages as well as Ethernet remote support and monitoring capabilities.

where it is installed. The V6300 provides a machine vision solution that
supports up to five cameras, ten lights and powerful software that can
perform multiple inspections of a target package simultaneously — for
ID/OD, ovality, gross formation defects, label positioning, label quality,

and quality, and the presence and verification of alphanumeric codes.
The V6300 quickly adapts to higher speeds and product changeovers to
